Курс: Студије британске културе У оквиру предмета: Студије британске културе Предавачи др Светлана Стојић, доцент у пензији др Вера Ошмјански, доцент изборни курс Број бодова: 6.00 Садржај курса: Садржај наставе је мултидисциплинарно проучавање културе савремене Британије. У овом контексту појам културе дефинише се у најширем смислу као «целокупан начин живота једног народа». Циљ изучавања курса: Општи циљеви наставе из овог предмета обухватају упознавање специфичног културног контекста неопходног не само за употребу језика и изграђивање комуникативне компетенције, већ и за развој истраживачких и критичких способности студената, посебно на плану интердисциплинарних и компаративних проучавања. Предуслови за полагање: Наставу могу похађати сви студенти Филозофског факултета који су након одслушаног IV семестра положили испит из енглеског као стручног језика са најмањом оценом (8). Облици наставе:
Настава Студија британске културе одржава се у облику интерактивних предавања, презентација студената и дискусија. Обавезе студената: Похађање наставе, домаћи радови, презентација рада на часу, активно учешће у дискусијама. nacin_ocenjivanja_rada_i_rezultata: Рад и резултати рада студената оцењују у току настабе и на писменом испиту. Коначна оцена се формира на основу броја поена које је студент остварио на основу предиспитних обавеза (које нису услов за испит) и које, у укупном збиру од 100 поена, учествују са 30 поена (учешће у дискусији 10 и писани тест 20 поена). Писмени испит на енглеском језику полаже се након одслушаног курса и носи 70 поена (10 питања - 20 поена и есеј - 50 поена).Студенти који су током наставе држали презентацију ослобађају се једног дела испита, у зависности од теме и дужине презентације. An interactive lecture 5. недеља предавање - Scotland – a brief historical survey; problems of contemporary Scotland; the notion of 'peripheral nationalism'; tartanry; Clydeism; Scotland in films. An interactive lecture 6. недеља предавање - Nothern Ireland – a brief historical survey of Ireland and Northern Ireland; relations with England and Great Britain; the 'Troubles'. An interactive lecture 7. недеља предавање - Issues of Identity – definitions of identity; from personal to national identity; definitions of patriotism, nationalism, chauvinism. Attitudes towards britishness, englishness, scotishness, welshness, irishness. An interactive lecture followed by a discussion - a comparative approach. 8. недеља предавање - Essay writing – essay types; stages of writing an essay; practice for the exam essay, revision of topics. An interactive lecture 13. недеља предавање - Social classes – the myth of classless society; criteria for class assessment; description of the main social classes; underclass and super class; social mobility; meritocracy; cultural nuances based on class.
