Kurs: Uvod u studije britanske kulture (osn.) U okviru predmeta: Uvod u studije britanske kulture Predavači dr Svetlana Stojić, docent u penziji dr Vera Ošmjanski, docent izborni kurs Broj bodova: 3.00 Sadržaj kursa: Velika Britanija – kratak istorijski, geografski i demografski pregled; predstave i stereotipi; Engleska, Škotska, Vels i Severna Irska; politički sistem i spoljna politika; problemi identiteta; religija; obrazovni sistem; dokolica i sport. Cilj izučavanja kursa: Upoznavanje sa glavnim institucijama, načinom života, i kulturnom baštinom savremenog britanskog društva. Preduslovi za polaganje: Nastavu mogu pohađati svi studenti Filozofskog fakulteta koji su nakon IV semestra položili ispite iz Engleskog jezika 1 i Engleskog jezika 2 sa najmanjom ocenom osam (8). Oblici nastave:
Interaktivna predavanja na engleskom jeziku uz prateći vizuelni materijal; diskusije u okviru predavanja; provera znanja putem testa. Plan kursa: 1. nedelja predavanje - Introduction The scope of the subject; definitions of culture; cultural universals and globalisation. 2. nedelja predavanje - Great Britain A brief historical, demographic and geographical survey. 3. nedelja predavanje - Great Britain The notion of insularity; relations with Europe; images and stereotypes; attitudes towards others. 4. nedelja predavanje - England The dominance of England; core and periphery; North-South divide. 5. nedelja predavanje - Wales A brief historical survey; relations with England; a contemporary picture of Wales; forms of expressing Welshness. 6. nedelja predavanje - Scotland A brief historical survey; problems of contemporary Scotland; the notion of "peripheral nationalism"; tartanry; Clydeism; Scotland in films. 7. nedelja predavanje - Northern Ireland a brief historical survey of Ireland and Northern Ireland; relations with England and Great Britain; the "Troubles". 8. nedelja predavanje - Issues of Identity definitions of identity; from personal to national identity; definitions of patriotism, nationalism, chauvinism. Attitudes towards Britishness, Englishness, Scotishness, Welshness, Irishness.
