Sadržaj kursa: U bloku teorijske nastave određuju se osnovni pojmovi koji će biti korišćeni, predstavlja se kratka uporedna istorija filma i vizuelne antropologije, antropologije medija i studija filma, kritički se analizuju glavne debate o prirodi odnosa filma i antropologije koje su obeležile noviji period razvoja discipline i raspravljaju pitanja upotrebe filmova i drugih vizuelnih materijala kao etnografske građe, odnosno primene raznih pristupa smimanju na terenu kao istraživačkih metoda. U bloku praktične nastave studenti će se upoznavati sa tehnološkim svojstvima današnjih mini kamkordera, osnovnim tehnikama snimanja, radom sa kamerom u uslovima terenskog istraživanja, montažnim postupcima, postupcima stvaranja multimedijalnih prezentacija, različitim pristupima u arhiviranju vizuelnih materijala, kao i strategijama prezentacije antropoloških saznanja uz pomoć vizuelnih materijala.
Cilj izučavanja kursa: Nastavni postupak usmeren je na uporedno ovladavanje osnovnim teorijskim koncepcijama koje čine temelj vizuelne antropologije, antropologije medija i filmskih studija, kao i na usvajanje praktičnih tehnika proizvodnje terenskih vizuelnih materijala.
