The Library of the Department of Psychology was formed in 1951 as then the Psychology Seminar Library. At its formation, the library had 625 books and had received 22 periodicals. Today, the library includes over 23,000 books and more than 90 periodical titles.

In addition to the original collection, the library has seven legacies; these exceptional contributions were made by: Professor Borislav Stevanović, Professor Mihajlo Roter, Professor Ivan Smodlaka, Professor Vladimir Konecni, Professor Marija Vučić and Professor Radmilo Vučić, Professor Vesna Kutlešić and Professor Slavoljub Radonjić. Apart from that, the library owns a collection of numerous B.A., M.A. and PhD theses together with many specialization works, as well as a test centre equipped with assessment instruments used for various psychological tests.

Until October 2003, the search within the collections was possible via an authors' and subject catalogues when computerized publications cataloguing system was started. Today, the online system of Virtual Libraries of Serbia (COBISS) allows users to electronically search the engine containing all monographic publications published since 2000.
