About the Institute
The Institute for Philosophy at the University of Belgrade was founded in 1967 as a result of Professor Mihailo Marković’s efforts to expand research into philosophy and science. Designed as a separate organization, in 1970, it became an institution for higher education. Today, the Institute operates within the Department of Philosophy. The two are collaborating on the most recent research project at the Institute - The Problem of the Explanatory Gap in Philosophy and Science.
The Director of the Institute for Philosophy is Professor Jovan Babić.
