Center for the Serbian Studies

Center for the Serbian Studies

The Research Center for Serbian Studies established at 2010 on the initiative of the Department of History of the Serbian people in the new century, Department of History, Faculty of Philosophy. The need for the establishment of the Center grew out of scientific contacts and projects implemented by the Department employees, graduate and doctoral students. The establishment of the Center facilitated not only the organizational work on different projects, but also greatly contributed to the modernization and enrichment of the master's and doctoral studies.

The goals of the Center are focusing on the involvement of younger associates, graduate students at the Department in various projects and their institutional association with the Department of history and Faculty of Philosophy. Activities of the Centre are focused on the implementation of research projects in cooperation with the interested scientific institutions at home and abroad. We are hoping to present to foreign researchers modern results of Serbian historiography and to make them interested in further mutual studies of Serbian history. We are planning to establish cooperation with associates outside our country. Their scientific contribution will broaden comparative observations of many educational, economical, cultural, demographical, political and other problems.

Since 2011, the Director of the Center: Radoš Ljušić, Professor.
Since 2011, the Secretary of the Center: Danko Leovac, Research Assistant
