Course objectives: Introducing students to methods used in archaeozoological research, mostly the procedures used in archaeozoological analysis.
Course description: Collecting, sorting and housing of archaeozoological finds during archaeological excavations. Defining different parts of the skeleton, sides and orientation. Taxonomic assignment. Determining age and sex in different kinds of animals.
Learning Outcomes: Essay and written examination.
