Skills and Training Needs Analysis

Pre-requisites: No special conditions.

Course objectives: The goal of the course is acquisition of skills related to analysis of the needs for knowledge, skills and training.

Course description: Theories of educational needs; Interdependence of the labor market and education; Different concepts of knowledge and skills; Types of knowledge - factual, conceptual, procedural; Professional competencies; Methods and techniques for analyzing the needs for knowledge and skills at different levels. Tools for analyzing the needs for knowledge and skills.Occupation nomenclature; ISCO classification of occupations; Occupational standards and establishment of a quality system of work; Use of occupational standards in education and training; Methods and techniques for analyzing educational needs; Examining the educational needs of individuals; Training needs analysis at enterprise level; Development of educational needs assessment tools.

Learning Outcomes: After the completion of the course student: understands the concept of needs for knowledge and skills; knows models and procedures for identifying knowledge and skills; is able to identify the needs of the individual and the labor market for knowledge and skills;
