Course objectives: The goal of the subject is acquisition of knowledge and skills related to planning and conducting evaluative research in different domains of adult education and learning; acquisition of knowledge and skills related to evaluation of the program, evaluation of the process of education and learning, evaluation of achievements and evaluation of teaching staff.

Course description: Theories of evaluation in education. The concept of evaluation in education; Relevant terms; Planning the evaluation process in adult education. Evaluation of different elements and aspects of adult education and learning.Process-oriented evaluation. Results-based evaluation. Self-evaluation. Meta evaluation. Preparation of the evaluation plan: programs, process realization programs, work of adult education institutions, monitoring and evaluation of students, monitoring of educational work effects, development of portfolios.

Learning Outcomes: After the completion of the program students: knows theories of evaluation in education; knows various evaluation models; develops simple plans for the evaluation process and conducts evaluative research in the field of adult education and learning.
