Pre-requisites: The requirements are in accordance with the fourth year of studies admission requirements.

Course objectives: Understanding the particularities of learning in the third life age and developing of educational programmes for older people’s needs.

Course description: Theoretical course Types of constitution of older people’s learning discipline; Old age as a civilization’s problem; Social and scientific basics of aging; Demographic changes and aging; Comparative perspectives of older people education; Practical course Developmental orientation and learning of older people; Older person as a student; Motives, educational needs and interests of older people; Selection of contents and organization of learning for older people; Evaluation of educational programmes for older people; Practical work at the Third Age University.

Learning Outcomes: Students understands the particularities of learning in the third life age, knows to apply the methodology for research of the specific educational needs of the third generation, to develop educational programmes for older people, knows to organize, manage, evaluate the educational process of older people.
