• Fifth International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities - Belgrade, September 17 - 21st, 2013

Serbian Society for Ancient Studies (a member of FIEC), together with the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade is the host and the organizer of the yearly International Symposion of Classical Scholarship, held in Belgrade and Sremska Mitrovica (the site of ancient Sirmium).

The Programme includes sessions on history and epigraphics, philosophy, linguistics and literature, archaeology and art, law, and the classical heritage. An entire session is devoted to Professor Miloš N. Đurić (1892-1967).

The Programme also includes a visit to the ancient Roman city of Sirmium, in order to acquaint the participants of the Symposion with the results of the recent archaeological excavations and with the newly built Visitors' Center.

The Book of Abstracts is printed in advance of the Symposion. The full text of the Proceedings of the Symposion will be printed at a later date.

The International Symposion of Classical Scholarship is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia.
