Course description: An introduction to the meaning of contemporary migratory population movements in the context of global social change and globalization trends. Becoming familiar with the most important theories on migration, ideas and types of migrations. Studying migration trends by starting with their economic meaning and related problems that appear in economic and broader social integration of migrants in modern societies. An introduction to institutional mechanisms of regulation of migratory currents & patterns.

Learning Outcomes: Students will have gained fundamental knowledge of the theories, concepts, types and contemporary tendencies of global migrations.
