During the last project term, the Institute, as a Center for Ethnological and Anthropological Research, conducted a project titled Cultural Identities in European Integration and Regionalization, funded by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. As part of the project, masters and doctorate level dissertations were defended and scientific monographs, papers and articles published, and the project researches took part at scientific conferences held both locally, and internationally.

For the current project term, members of the Institute are engaged in several projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia: From Cultural Heritage to Modern Society – an Anthropological Study of Serbia; Identity Politics of the European Union: Customisation and Application in the Republic of Serbia; Transformation of Cultural Identity in Contemporary Serbia and the European union.
