Course objectives: Learning about interviewing skills history and development, modern interpretation systems, possibilities and disadvantages in clinical practice.Clnical interview in the psychological test battery, conducting, interpretation of given statements, integration and writing a report.

Course description: Theoretical lectures. History and development. Possible determinations of a clinical interview. Clinical interview and case history. Basics and preparations for an interview. Basic interviewing skills. Phenomenology of the interviewing process. Disadvantages of an interview. Interview structure. Diagnostic vs. therapeutic interview. Mental status investigation. Interview on admittance/exploration interview. Suicidality assessment, interview in crisis states. Diagnosis and treatment planning. Interviewing younger clients, couples and families. Multicultural factors of interviewing. Interpretation of facts given in an interview. Practical lectures: exercises, other forms of lectures, research. Analysis of several transcripts.
