Pre-requisites: Completed undergraduate studies in psychology - clinical orientation.

Course objectives: Broadening and deepening knowledge on ethical issues in relevant areas of clinical psychology, and the possibilities of resolving ethical dilemmas in practice. New perspectives in the assessment of clinical psychology and a review of its role in society.

Course description: Theoretical Work: The first part of the course includes topics that cover the issues, dilemmas and problems of ethical nature of clinical psychology within its defined basic tasks: assessment, psychotherapy, research and prevention. The second part deals with selected issues and critical re-examination of the contemporary clinical psychology, relagted to: perspectives and new challenges (development trends, the possibility of resolving the old dilemmas, new roles and characteristics of the work with new populations), approaches in defining the identity of clinical psychologists, cases of clinical psychology and clinical psychology positions in society. Practical work: Practice, other forms of teaching, study and research work Preparing two independent essays on selected topics from both parts of the subject.

Learning Outcomes: Developed a critical approach for thinking in relation to the achievements and opportunities of clinical psychology. Sensitivities for resolving the ethical dilemmas of the profession.
