Course objectives: Acquisition of knowledge of the critical analysis of institutional education and school work practice as a base for their improvement; training for understanding the interconnection between the importance of school function and continuous review of school work quality.

Course description: Theoretical course: Criticism and attempts of school reform until the beginning of 20th century. Modern school criticism – theoretical and practical solutions for the improvement school education and the development of alternative forms of education. Development of school as an open system. Connection of school opening processes towards society and towards an individual. The possibilities and the assumptions of differentiations and individualization of school educational work. Working with gifted students in school. Working with students with developmental difficulties in school. The possibilities of prevention of school failure. Practical course: /

Learning Outcomes: Students: have acquired thorough knowledge about: the characteristics of previous critical reviews of school work; theoretical and practical solutions for school work improvement; the possibilities and the ways of school work towards meeting the social and individual needs.
