Pre-requisites: All exams passed at undergraduate level.

Course objectives: Furthering student's theoretical and methodological knowledge, providing them with essential background for scientific research in the study of history. Students will be introduced to basic methods of research, writing papers and scientific articles at a more advanced level:masters and doctoral dissertations.

Course description: Theoretical component:Intro to methodology, Philosophy of History, General Methodology(subjects and methods), historical method, sources for methods, Methods of research, scientific analysis(types and strategies), case studies, Final Projects(masters and doctorate), composing a scientific article(structure), publishing work. Practical component:a visit to the Historical Institute and Archives of Serbia(working with materials). Total class hours - 10.

Learning Outcomes: Upon completing this course students will be capable of conducting independent scientific research for projects, will be able to assist in the creation of new theoretical models of research, write essays, masters and doctorate level papers.
