Ancient Egypt:Cultural History

Pre-requisites: No prerequisites

Course objectives: An introduction to basic ideas in the history of institutional, social, economic and cultural development of pharaonic, ptolemaic and roman Egypt with a special focus on the afterlife, society and the economy as well as relations with other cultures.

Course description: This course reviews the development of ancient Egypt as a civilization beginning with the year 3000 B.C. to the end of Augustus's rule.

Learning Outcomes: Acquired knowledge of basic ideas in the history of institutional, social, economic and cultural development of Ancient Egypt.
