Pre-requisites: General requirements for doctoral studies. Knowledge of Latin and at least two European languages.

Course objectives: For students to gain knowledge about relations between the kingdom of Naples with southeastern Europe, namely, Serbia.

Course description: The arrival of the Capetian-Anjou dynasty in southern Italy. Conquests of Charles of Anjou in Albania and the forming of the „Kingdom of Albania“. The entrance of the Capetian-Anjou dynasty to the Hungarian throne. Hungarian branch of the House of Anjou and Serbia. Ladislaus of Naples and the eastern coast of the Adriatic sea.

Learning Outcomes: Knowledge of relations between the kingdom of Naples with southeastern Europe, namely, Serbia.
