Course objectives: To foster independent and critical use of numismatic sources in studying the history of the roman Empire.

Course description:  Nominals. Reversi, Aversi. Roman empiric numismatics by epoch and theme.

Learning Outcomes:  Students will be able to not only recognize and date roman coins from the period of the empire, but also will be able to independently analyze their historical value and value as propaganda.
