Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge of high school mathematics.

Course objectives: Acquiring basic theoretical knowledge and skills necessary for statistical data analysis in psychology.

Course description: Basic methodological, mathematical and statistical concepts needed in statistical data analysis, statistical description and graphical presentation of data, introduction to statistical inference: basic concepts and principles of probability theory, statistical estimation and testing statistical hypotheses. Performing basic procedures in statistical software using examples from psychology.

Learning Outcomes: Understanding basic statistical concepts, acquired skills needed for preparing data for analysis in statistical programs, competence to independently perform and interpret basic descriptive and inferential statistical procedures.
