Origins of the Slavs

Pre-requisites: None

Course objectives: To introduce students to origins of Slavs and the methodological approach to studying them; enabling the students to independently study Slavs on sites older than the 5th century.

Course description: The students will be introduced to the latest scientific archaeological research regarding the origins of Slavs, essentially the archaeological data regarding the period prior to the first mentioning of Slavs in written sources.
