Course objectives: Introducing students with theoretical foundations, empirical foundations and practical applications of two modalities of assessment used in practice - Rorschach method and Genogram.

Course description: Theory classes: Genogram - a place in a comprehensive study of an individual and family; theoretical basis; definition, content and special variants; application in various schools of family therapy and in various aspects of clinical work; advantages and limitations. History and development of the Rorschach method. Origin and development of the instrument. Concept of (test) projections and projective techniques. Development of various Rorschach interpretation systems. Exner's "Comprehensive System", Lerner's psychoanalytical system; Interpreting responses and integrating data, Writing of the psychological report. Rorschach in the assessment of family dynamics. Assessment of object relations; Evaluation of primitive defenses and primitive mental states in children, adolescents and adults. Assessment of border phenomenology and narcissism. Planning of treatment and psychotherapy goals based on Rorschach. Rorschach as an instrument in therapeutic assessment. The use of Rorschach in forensic evaluation. Practical classes: exercises, other forms of teaching, student essays.

Learning Outcomes: Training students for independent application of the Genogram technique and Rorschach's ink blot test in clinical practice.
