Course objectives: To train students for analysis of the needs for knowledge, skills and trainings

Course description: Theoretical course: Interconnection of labour market and education; Theories of educational needs; Different concepts of knowledge and skills; Types of knowledge – factual, conceptual and procedural; Professional competences; Methods and techniques of work and occupation analysis; Instruments for work analysis. Practical course: Nomenclature of occupation; ISCO classification of occupation; Standards of occupation and establishing the system of work quality; The use of standards of occupation in education and training. Methods and techniques of educational needs analysis; Analysis of the needs for training on company’s level; Development of instruments for the assessment of educational needs.

Learning Outcomes: Student will be capable of analysing the needs of the labour market for workplaces and occupations; of making the standard of work, workplace or occupation and of identifying the needs for knowledge and skills, in accordance with the standards of work, workplace or occupation.
