Course objectives: The goal is to introduce students to basic topics of verificationism, which arose under positivism and became influental philosophical doctrine even after the disappearance of logical empiricism from the philosophical scene.

Course description: Verification principle and its defenses: Schlick, Neurath, Carnap, Hempel etc. The question of the status of philosophy.

Learning Outcomes: Students should be able to take place in realism versus anti-realism debates.
