Course objectives: Students ought to understand what makes philosophy specific, how it was formed in 5th and 6th century BC in Greece and to get acquainted with basic cosmological, ontological, epistemological, antropological, ethical and political conceptions of philosophers before Socrates.
Course description: Teachings of Greek philosophers before Socrates as presented in original fragments as well as in paraphrases and interpretations by doxographers.
Learning Outcomes: Students will acquire knowledge of the most important philosophical issues which have their origins ina early Greek philosophy
