Course objectives: The goal of the course is deepening and significant expanding of the knowledge in moral epistemology for PhD students who are focused on the study of ethics and who will write their doctoral theses in the field of ethics.

Course description: Overview of contemporary moral epistemology, from its beginnings in Hume to its contemporary forms - Searle and the theory of institutional facts, reasons and types of reasons, externalism and internalism, values and norms, the dichotomy between value and fact, the relationship between evaluation and motivation, elements of moral psychology; overview of the further development of metaethics which has been intensified nowdays.

Learning Outcomes: Mastering the knowledge sufficent for competence in the areas of metaethics, moral epistemology and moral psychology.
