Course objectives: The goal of the course is deepening and significant expanding of the knowledge in certain fields of applied ethics for PhD students who are focused on the study of ethics and who will write their doctoral theses in the field of ethics.

Course description: The course focuses, by the choice of candidates, on a detailed examination of certain specific areas of applied ethics, i.e. bioethics, business ethics, environmental ethics, political ethics, computer ethics, ethics of care, sexual ethics, and so on. Topic of the course should be chosen in a way that it could be helpful for student and her work on doctoral thesis if the candidate chooses work in applied rather than theoretical ethics and, of course, the course should be based on the quality world literature. For each particular area of applied ethics independent literature and special syllabus are formed with course structure that corresponds to the specific content of the particular field of applied ethics.

Learning Outcomes: Mastering the knowledge sufficent for competence in a particular area of applied ethics (such as business ethics, computer ethics, environmental ethics, journalistic ethics, etc.).
