Course objectives: Students will get introduced to the basic ideas of hermeneutic aesthetics, especially with the basic ideas of Heidegger's and Gadamer's philosophy of art; they will understand the context of the emergence, development, and criticism of these aesthetic positions.

Course description: Content of the lectures consists of the exposure of the basic ideas of hermeneutical aesthetics, particularly in the presentation of the basic ideas and concepts of Heidegger's and Gadamer's philosophy of art. Historical and hermeneutical context of the emergence of these conceptions is interpreted, they are constructively-critically compared, their development in some contemporary philosophers (Figal) and their application in the theory of literature (Jaus) and the theory of fine arts is also discussed.

Learning Outcomes: Introduce students to the basic ideas of hermeneutical aesthetics, especially with the basic ideas and concepts of Heidegger's and Gadamer's philosophy of art. Ability to understand the context of the emergence, development and application of these ideas in theory of art.
