Course objectives: The goal of the course is that student, after undergraduate studies and with acquisition of historical review of philosophical directions, problems and viewpoints, gain deepened knowledge, about both the selected viewpoints of 20th century philosophy and the reasons that led to their formation

Course description: Thematically speaking, the course should direct students toward some of the most important viewpoints in the philosophy of 20th century, which are, from case to case, shaped within one or more different philosophical directions. These viewpoints are generally are defined in relation to one or more similar philosophical problems. This means that these problems will be dealt with during the course, but the emphasis will be on the way of formulating and types of answers within the thematic standpoint. In some cases, viewpoints will be defined as opposed couples, which will provide an equal balance of pro et contra arguments. In order to cover more directions and to provide students with a deeper insight into the particular standpoint, we have decided to divide lectures thematically among instructors – professor Milos Arsenijevic and assistant professor Milanko Govedarica - depending on the direction within which the standpoint is defined.

Learning Outcomes: Student will gain insight into the diversity of philosophical trends in historical perspective.
