Course objectives: Students will be introduced to the most general topics, issues and viewpoints of action theory as a discipline within practical philosophy.

Course description: Following topics are included: the concept of action, reasons, motives and causes, intentionality, normativity, types of rationality, freedom and determinism, concept of responsibility, internalism and externalism. During exercises, issuses that are related to topics from lectures are covered through analysis of relevant texts and disscusions about various arguments and viewpoints.

Learning Outcomes: Students acquire the most general conceptual knowledge about the nature and structure of human action.
