Course objectives: Students will get acquainted with topics mentioned in the title of the course and, at the same time, they will develop the ability to write philosophical papers and will be prepared for rational, argumentative and critical reviewing of philosophical literature.

Course description: Grade will depend on two papers (the first worth 20% of the final grade, the second 40%) and oral exam (40%). The first paper will be the concept for the second one. Once you get my comments on the first paper, you will use them to write the second one. These papers should be the result of your research on some of the topics that we shall deal with during this course, or on causality that we dealt with in the previous semester. Remember Prior's rules before and during writing. Questions on the oral exam will be about things that we will deal with in classes, something that was not the topic of your papers. Additionally, one question on the oral exam will be about something from secondary literature which refers to a general overview of early modern philosophy.
