Course objectives: Development of professional approach to the work of preschool educationalist; introduction into and critical review of the scope of work, legislative and normative regulations and professional role of preschool educationalist; development of educational knowledge and skills needed for preschool educationalist’s work.

Course description: Determination factors of preschool institution activities; Organization of institution’s work; The roles of preschool educationalist; Programme, plans, reports and maintaining documentation of personal and institutional work; Equipping and structuring the space and didactic material; Institution’s programme development; Planning and evaluation of programme; Managing of institution in cooperation with other participants (development of professional community, macro and micro problems of institutional policy management). Professional improvement of practitioners and development of new programmes and forms of work. Practical course: Field research (interview and systematic observation); Construction of instruments for monitoring the programme of institution’s work; Writing and presentation of the report about project/process of institution’s work; Choosing one domain of educationalist’s work and action plan designing, realization and presentation.

Learning Outcomes: Has the professional approach regarding to different domains of activity; is able to plan and organize work and to start actions; is capable of maintaining educational documentation; is able to organize and develop team work; uses different forms of professional communication.
