Pre-requisites: Knowledge of Greek and Latin language on the level that enables student to follow the course; knowledge of basics of history and theory of Ancient literature.

Course objectives: Acquainting with methods and acts of literary study in context of historical philology; forming the ability for analysis of literart and artistic text on every level of structure; forming the ability of literary historical and literary critical analysis.

Course description: Acquainting with Ancient, Medieval and Contemporary literary historical schools and branches and their research methods; interpretation of Greek and Roman literary works by applying notionally-methodological acts of contemporary literary study; analysis of literary and artistic text.

Learning Outcomes: Enabling for literary critical and theoretical analysis of Ancient literature works and artistic text, acquiring knowledge on substantial characteristics and their elements, and also on substantial features of literary and artistic genres.
