Course objectives: The emphasis of this course is on knowledge one gained in ancient literature and its application to specific problems in literary theory and history of literature, which can be used as a topic in student's M.A. thesis.

Course description: Greek and Roman authors, historical contexts and theoretical aspects of ancient literature, literary science and literary critic in Greeks and Romans.

Learning Outcomes: Students are enabled, concerning knowledge in history and theory of literature, to do independently scientific research work in the field of ancient literature and comparistics.
