History of religions and comparative mythology (M.A)

Pre-requisites: For students enrolled to Classical studies it is obligatory to had passed exam in elective course History of religions on 4th year of grad. studies. Courses are also available for students from other departments.

Course objectives: Widening knowledge and gaining new knowledge on ancient and traditional religions, their topology, genesis and historical development; acquainting with different approaches in dealing with myth, with emphasis on comparative method.

Course description: Ancient and traditional religions and mythology, sources (literary, archeological and ethnographic), old and new methodological approaches.

Learning Outcomes: Enabling students for scientific research work in the field of history of religions and comparative mythology.
