Course objectives: Acquainting with Medieval Greek literacy; being able to translate from Medieval Greek; Being able to do scientific work in the field of Byzantine philology (i.e. the use of sources, contemporary methodology of work, the use of critically acclaimed literature... etc.)

Course description: The history of Byzantine literature and the development of Greek language in middle ages.

Learning Outcomes: Deeper knowledge of certain areas of Byzantine philology; The ability for independent research.
