Course objectives: Acquainting students with basic facts from history of antic epistolography and stylistics, manuals of how to make a letter in Greek, Latin an slovenic languages, their translations and study in rhetoric schools old and new; Enabling students to make different kinds of letters according to old models and to recognize elements of epistolografic tradition in literary works of antic and contemporary authors;The history of stylistics.

Course description: The history of antic epistolography and stylistics; epistolography and stylistics as continuation of rhetoric education; the relation of rhetoric towards epistolography and stylistics; epistological tradition and making of epistolary.

Learning Outcomes: Students are enabling to recognize certain types of letters (friendly, love and business letters), and especially when they are incorporated in some author's work.
