Course objectives: Development of teacher competences in planning, organizing and carrying out teaching of technical and technological subjects, and for the monitoring and evaluation of the effects of teaching and learning.

Course description: The specific characteristics of technical and technological subjects; technical and technological subjects in the education system and as part of the vocational specialization. The aims and objectives of teaching technical and technological subjects. Curricula and syllabi of technical and technological subjects. The specific features of programming and class preparation for technical and technological subjects – macroprogramming and microprogramming (global and operational plans, written class preparation). The specific characteristics of teaching principles, learning spaces, teaching tools and resources, forms and methods of teaching of technical and technological subjects. Didactic and methodological requirements for the selection and use of learning spaces and teaching technology in carrying out teaching of technical and technological subjects. The importance of using ICT and relevant software. Method selection according to the aims, achievement standards and characteristics of the subject content of technical and technological subjects and according to learners’ needs, prior knowledge and abilities. Recording procedures (concept, function, systems). Assessment and knowledge tests in technical and technological subjects. Extracurricular activities (homework, clubs, competitions, etc.). The introduction of methodological innovations into teaching.

Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: - independently plan the teaching of technical and technological subjects in accordance with the curriculum, syllabus and achievement/competency standards of the vocational specialization, and in accordance with learners' prior knowledge and abilities - use various teaching tools, resources and ICT, select teaching methods, tools and resources best suited to particular lesson content, and use these methods, materials and ICT to ensure efficient and effective learning
