History of serbian law

Pre-requisites: Regular attendance at consultations and class, writing papers, active participation in working with texts.

Course objectives: Introducing students to the history of law in the middle ages and examining the legislative activity of serbian rulers from Stefan Nemanja to despot Stefan Lazarevic.

Course description: Theoretical component: class will consist mainly of lectures on the development of serbian law and its institutions. Practical component: there will be a few labs in which we will examine the most important legal texts.

Learning Outcomes: Students will have basic knowledge of legislative activity of serbian rulers during the middle ages.
