Course objectives: Introducing students to the causes, effects and consequences of the war on Yugoslavian territories evident through the tragic conflict of nations, religions and ideologies.

Course description: The theoretical component of the course encompasses lectures on the origin and root of national, religious and ideological divisions, their culminations under conditions of occupation, the defeat of the civilian concept on which the country was based until the forming of a new, revolutionary victorious model and erasing the memory of all that tragically perished in the name of national peace. The practical component of this course encompasses teaching students to independently analyze historical sources and literature, think critically and present their findings in written and oral form.

Learning Outcomes: During the course students will expand their knowledge on the historical sources and literature available on the subject and the complexity of Yugoslavian conflicts during the war, while critically assessing the topic.
