Pre-requisites: General requirements for doctoral studies. Familiarity with Latin and at least two European languages.

Course objectives: To learn about the relations and mutual influences of „Venetian Albania“ and the Serbs before and after the extinguishing of Serbian statehood.

Course description: The creation of „Venetian Albania“ in 1392. and its expansion to the Montenegrin coastline and northern Albania. The configuration of „Albania“. Relations between the Serbs and „Venetian Albania“. Serbian orthodox and Roman catholic church in the Montenegrin coastal area and northern Albania. The arrival of the Turks.

Learning Outcomes:  Gaining knowledge on the subject of relations and mutual influences of „Venetian Albania“ and the Serbs before and after the extinguishing of Serbian statehood.
