Course objectives: This course is a thorough introduction to roman historiography, using the main epigraphical and numismatic sources relevant to the history of the roman Republic.
Course description: A review of roman historiography, from its beginnings to changes after the fall of the Republic. Familiarizing students with particular writers through independent work. Studying epigraphical and numismatic materials.
Learning Outcomes: Independent and critical use of narrative, epigraphical and numismatic sources.
