Course objectives: Going over lessons learned in previous classes and widening the scope of knowledge; the ability to translate from Medieval Greek.

Course description: The history of Byzantine literature and the development of Greek language in middle ages. Cultural and historic surroundings in which certain works originated.

Learning Outcomes: Being able to do scientific research in the field of Byzantinec philology (i.e. the use of sources, contemporary methodology of work, the use of critically acclaimed literature... etc.)
