Pre-requisites: Attendance at classes is compulsory. An interactive relationship between teachers and students is essential.

Course objectives: Study of methodological bases of the modern period Visual Culture. Focus of the research is directed towards the analysis of contemporary methodological principles and their application in scientific work.

Course description: Study of the methods of approach to the concept and form of the modern period Visual Culture. Special attention is paid to contemporary methodological principles which study Visual Culture within the ideological, functional, cultural and gender framework. Students are introduced to the works of the most prominent historians of art and culture in the world.

Learning Outcomes: Learning about and mastering the conceptual, political, ideological, religious and geographical framework and contextuality of the modern period Visual Culture.
