Pre-requisites: Enrolled 4th year of studies (for students of Classical studies); This course is available for students of other departments also.
Course objectives: Introduction to discipline, acquainting with the most important ancient and traditional religions, main sources, basic methodological approaches.
Course description: 7th semester: introduction to discipline, its history, methodology; religions of Paleolith, Neolith and Ancient East;
8th semester: religions of Indo-european people (Hittites, Indo-Aryans, Iranians, Greeks, Romans, Celts, Geremans, Baltics, Slovens).
Learning Outcomes: Acquiring necessary knowledge for following the course in History of religions and comparative mythology on M.A. studies.
