Course objectives: Introduction to key international problems of adult education and basic characteristics of comparative research in adult education.

Course description: Theoretical course: Theoretical and methodological problems of comparative adult education, Determinants and characteristics of adult education systems relevant for comparative analysis, Modern systems of adult education in Europe and the USA, Comparative dimensions of adult education in the countries in transition, Main carriers of international activities in adult education, International activities of UNESCO and OECD in adult education, Key international documents in the field of learning and education of adults, Instruments of common international and European educational policies, international and European programmes for the support of adult education. Practical course: EU programmes for the support of education, International organizations and projects in Serbia as a support to adult education, Relevant databases for adult education.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the programme student: - is familiar with the paradigmatic systems of adults education in Europe and wider, - understands the phenomenon of global interdependence and internationalization of adult education; - is capable of comparative studying of adult education.
