Course objectives: That post graduate forms the profound understanding of the development of educational science and practice from theoretical, historical and comparative aspects and to be trained for independent research work in this field.

Course description: The significance, the subject and methodological particularities of theoretical, historical and comparative research in education. Fundamental problems of educational science as the subject of theoretical research. Historical-comparative research in the function of critical analysis and the review of educational theory and practice. Comparative research of educational systems. Planning and conducting theoretical, historical and comparative research in education. Particularities of techniques and methods in cross-cultural research. Designing of theoretical/comparative research plan.

Learning Outcomes: Post graduate: has synthetic insight into the problems of education from the comparative-historical perspective. Independently resolves the research problems in the field of the theory of education, educational history and comparative education.
