Course objectives: Understanding the determinants and regularities of adult educational system development.

Course description: Theoretical and practical courses • Determinants and regularities of adult educational system development. – formal and non-formal • Diversity of approaches to studying adult educational system (historical, comparative, holistic, empiric, economic, systemic, management approach,...) • The mission of adult educational system in the conception of lifelong education and learning • Adult educational system – structural components and subsystems: normative regulating, organizing, managing and functioning • Systemic problems of adult education – the role and the contribution of educational policy in solving these problems • Managing the changes / reforms of adult educational system • Processes of standardization, accreditation and licensing as improvement factors in adult educational system.

Learning Outcomes: Student: - Understands the importance of environment for system development; - Researches adult educational system; - Defines the mission and the strategic goals of adult education; - Participates and creates system solutions to adult educational problems; - Improves the educational policy.
