Course objectives: Understanding the possibilities of application of work organization theories in the field of adult education and studying adult education system as a complex organizational phenomenon.

Course description: Theoretical course: - Theories of work organization and the possibilities of their application in the field of adult education; - Determinants of development and structural elements of adult education system; - Approaches to the research of adult education system (systematic, economical, empirical, historical, comparative, management approaches); - the relation between educational conceptions, strategies, systems and educational politics; - Adult education system as an educational market; - Managing the changes in adult education system; - Models and forms of educational activities of adults and their organizational characteristics (models of continuous education and specialization – In service model, lecture, seminar, symposium, conference, counselling, workshop, training, instructing, consultation, self-education...). Practical course: - Social context as a determinant of adult education system development; - Research of adult education (sub) systems; - Organizational models and forms of adult education; - Professional visits and their analysis.

Learning Outcomes: Student: - Is familiar with the theories of work organization and is able to estimate their applicability in adult education; - Understands the determinants and the structure of educational system; - Applies various approaches to the research of educational system; - Organizes educational activities for adults.
